Before I joined the Side Street Ramblers, they asked me to arrange this song that baritone Dennis Malone had found. The man has lost his wife, and he is reminiscing about their life together. Then he puts flowers on her grave. Certainly a tear jerker and a great song. When I joined the quartet as a faux lead, I got to sing this one a lot. Quiet not quite standing ovation most of the time. For men or women. There is a contest version that I did for Awesome Joe Connelly. Women would have to tell the story in the thrid person.
