I can't find any information on the provenance of the song. But I wrot e a commissioned chart for Lake Legacy Chorus in Ohio. The lyrics seem to be legitimate as to what went on in the 1920's when the women were pressing for a constitutional amendment fo give women the bote. Forutnately this happened - amd it was about time. The song is kind of humorous but has that seirous undertone. For women, obviously.
