Whitey Kaufmann, Fred Kelly, and Irving Bibo wrote this little gem in 1928. A really fantastic Southwestern District quartet called the Forty Acre Four won the District contest in 1977 with this song (I was the baritone and coach of thag fine group). I still see the bass and the lead from time to time. They have gotten older.
