When Irish Eyes are Smiling
$ 100
Written by Chauncy Alcott and Ernest Ball in 1912. Typical waltz-y Irish melody with an interesting patter in the scond chorus behind the melody. Saturday Evening Post sang it in 2005 when we were sixth, having medaled the year before, I hasten to add. We looked great, white coats. The judges just didn't get it. But if you want a great old chestnut, this is it.
